Saiga 12 Drums now $120 at MDARMS.com

Hey folks,

Mike at MDArms.com has lowered his price on the S12 20 rd drums to $120. I know a few of us have Saiga 12s and if you didn't have a drum of his before well this is a great time to pick one up. I am grabbing one at this price.

Hi, I wanted to break some news to everyone. Due to a new comer entering the Saiga-12 drum market soon... We are lowering the price of our drum, the MD-20 to $120. You read that right, $120!!! The price will go into effect 01-26-10 at noon, Eastern time. That is less than 12 hours away. Our new competitor is not know for quality products but we felt this is something we must still do. Not only to ensure a competitive edge but to better ensure your money is well spent! From what I'm hearing, our new $120 price point will still make our drum the most affordable drum on the market. That with our proven design and reputation for reliability should keep MD Arms, Ltd by far the best choice for a saiga-12 drum mag. I could be wrong but I highly doubt the new guys are making a better mouse trap! I will post more on this tomorrow prior to Noon. We will be contacting our stocking dealers tomorrow as well to work out something on stock still held. We will be offering customers that have ordered in the past 30 days something as well. We will be opening up sales to new stocking dealers as well and will have those details in the next few days.

I want to apologize and thank everyone that paid more for one in the past. This was out of our control. But we feel the ultimate outcome from this will make up for it in time. We hope you will all help us spread the word on our new low price on our proven quality product!

Thanks Everyone! MikeD

I'm thinking to pull the trigger on another of these - but man I am really wanting a 10 round, double stack mag to come out....thought he or someone was working on it.

He has less than 200 in stock- if his inventory page is correct - might grab one if you are considering.

To me the problem with the Drums is what do you do with them when there empty? Its great being a rambo bad ass for 20 rounds but what do you do with an empty #10 can after its gone? where do you store it on your LBE and it is not that easy to change out unless you just let it fall to the ground unless you have hands big enough to palm a basketball.

This is why I use the AGP 10 rounders and the first 2 are "jungle clipped" that gives me the same 20 rounds and still fit in a dump bag. Plus I can carry 60 rounds in mags and not look like I ripped off a costco truck with all the super tina cans hanging off me.

Your milage may vary but I think they are a cool gizmo but little practical use.

Now I would love a 10-15 round double stack mag that is the best improvement idea by far for the Saiga-12

Are you referring to this mag?

wish they had the connector to stack the AGP mags together, cant see spending $200, or even $120 on the drum.. sure it has the badass fear factor, but common $32 for a 10 round is more than adequate, also helps my budget for more silver and food supplies.:bull-smile: Save where you can.

The only way you can fire that "thing" is from a standing postion

No to little abilty to navigate small areas or shoot lying down.

Reminds me of the 75 round 7.62x39 mag

A guy could probably put side sights on it and lay it sideways to shoot from the ground.

I am 99% positive that the poster was talking about all the Saiga chatter of making a double stack mag (think glock) so the mag is thicker but much shorter a 12 rounder is the same leingh as the factory 8 round mag. There have been a few prototypes but no production runs.

PS thos e 20 round stick mags are used primarily in 3 gun competitions where everything is shot from standing and or on the run.

The Gunfixer Gas Plug works really really well w/ the S12s. I have had one since Mike started selling them.

Also the drum is more for fun and for use in a SHTF situation where you are bugged in and you are using it to defend the fort. Unless you get a pouch to carry it around in I agree it is a little too big for travel.

no, like double stack/zigzag. like a non-1911 semi auto handgun mag...

The drum is well worth the $120 +s&h
